September 2020 - present

EDUCATION COORDINATOR, THEATRE DENTON

• Developed a COVID-19 contingency season of virtual classes and productions in order to continue serving the community with quality theatre opportunities.

• Collaborated with committee to create and implement safety protocols for face-to-face classes.

• Expanded summer camp offerings to include a second musical theatre production conducive to upper elementary students.

January 2020 - August 2020

EDUCATION CO-COORDINATOR, THEATRE DENTON

• Developed and implemented virtual summer creativity camp, supervised lesson planning, video edited classes.

• Collaborated with co-coordinator to develop and implement virtual summer production camp, using Zoom and Canvas in innovative ways. 

June 2018 - December 2019

DIRECTOR/TEACHER, DENTON COMMUNITY THEATRE

• Directed A Seussified Christmas Carol. Designed and implemented creative set layout to fully utilize unusual stage space.

• Taught Creative Drama. Created active lesson plans that enabled young students to discover their “big voice” and project on stage.

• Music directed James and the Giant Peach, Jr. Collaborated with director and choreographer to develop rehearsal schedule that allowed students to learn music, blocking, and choreography efficiently.

• Directed Creativity Camp. Created scaled-down script and musical selections for student showcase. Collaborated with interns in teaching music selections and stage movement and crafting simple props and costume pieces.

• Assistant directed The Secret Garden. Collaborated with director in casting, blocking, and directing. Implemented exercises to foster ensemble work, focus, and respect.
