DIRECTOR
With a diverse range of experience, I have proudly directed over 15 productions, spanning across one-act plays, full-length plays, one-act musicals, and full-length musicals. These productions have been brought to life on various stages, including proscenium, black box, and virtual stages. My repertoire encompasses a rich spectrum of genres, from comedy and farce to tragedy and drama, and I have had the privilege of directing classic playwrights like Shakespeare and contemporary voices such as Don Zolidis. My expertise extends to productions of varying scales, from intimate five-actor shows to larger ensembles of fifty or more.

THE BROTHERS GRIMM SPECTACULATHON
TD Theatre School production, July 2020
I directed a cast of 13 actors ages 8-17 in a virtual production via Zoom. We used Canvas as a virtual classroom to send information to the students and held rehearsals in Zoom. Because of limitations on face-to-face interaction due to COVID-19, the students were all responsible for procuring their own costumes and prop pieces. We were able to utilize Zoom’s breakout rooms to rehearse separate scenes simultaneously and provide technical direction through camera and sound checks. I video edited the production and it was posted on YouTube for families and friends to view as a service to the community.

A SEUSSIFIED CHRISTMAS CAROL
DCT Theatre School production, December 2019
I directed a cast of 17 actors and three crew members ages 8-17 in an unusually configured black box space. To combat the dilemma of a 12’ x 32’ stage spanning a wall, I designed a crossover built from 2x4”s and insulation foam. We utilized stock platforms, stairs, set pieces, and paint in order to maximize the $600 budget. Rehearsals were held for two hours on weekday afternoons for three weeks before taking a week break for the Thanksgiving holiday. Tech week rehearsals culminated in two Saturdays of three performances each. Four of six performances played to sold-out audiences.

JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH, JR.
DCT Theatre School production, July 2019
I music directed a cast of 52 actors, ages 7 to 17. I have basic piano skills and was able to utilize technology by using apps to read and play sheet music in order to teach the songs to the actors. This made for an easy transition to the performance tracks for the actors as they had to learn to keep up with the music—the music wouldn’t be able to find them as it could under the direction of a conductor and a live orchestra. Rehearsals were held seven hours a day for five weeks before culminating in three sold-out performances.
